DMEM is a widely used basic medium, which can be used to support the growth of many kinds of mammalian cells. The cells successfully cultured in DMEM medium include primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVEC and smooth muscle cells, as well as HeLa, 293, COS-7 and PC-12 cell lines.
