Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF, FGF2 or FGF- β） BFGF is a member of fibroblast growth factor family. BFGF is a single stranded polypeptide growth factor, which plays an important role in promoting cell proliferation. At the same time, it can also inhibit cell apoptosis, accelerate wound healing and induce vascular regeneration. BFGF can also effectively induce DNA synthesis in many types of cells such as mesoderm and neuroectoderm.

Osrhbfgf is expressed in rice endosperm cells by gene recombination technology and purified by protein purification process.
